The IZG – compact ignition modules are designed for high voltage ignition of spark plugs or ignition electrodes on gas pilot burners. The ignition starts when the supply voltage is applied. The ignition modules are divided into different power ranges and versions and are not designed for continuous operation. Depending on the model, most compact ignition modules have a wide-range input of 12VDC to 24VDC to ensure reliable operation even in mobile applications.
The IZG100 high-frequency ignition module ensures high-voltage ignition of spark plugs (without internal resistance) or ignition electrodes on ignition burners over an ignition cable length of max. 50 meters at a higher ignition energy than wound ignition transformers (with max. 5m ignition cable length). This allows the user the more cost-effective installation in control cabinets outside the explosion-proof area or the decentralized high-voltage supply of the spark plug at increased ambient temperature near the burner.
